Port Townsend, WA

Located on the Quimper Peninsula in the Puget Sound, Port Townsend is a small, quaint seaside port town home to almost 10,000 residents. Founded in 1851, Port Townsend was, at one time, larger than Seattle. 150 years later, the buildings and Victorian architecture still stand. In the 1950’s when this house was built, the predominant employer was the pulp and paper mill, logging, and fishing. Today tourism is the big draw, although the mill still employs 330 people and there are many small yet successful businesses to enjoy.

Below is the Port Townsend Wikipedia page, providing a thorough background on the town and its rich history.
